Skedulo
An Interactive Hub for Seamless Mobile Workforce Management

Skedulo

Matt Fairhurst,CEO, SkeduloMatt Fairhurst, CEO
According to Statistics MRC, the Global Field Service Management (FSM) Market is accounted for $1.78 billion in 2016 and is expected to reach $4.45 billion by 2022 growing at a CAGR of 16.5 percent.

With the shift we are seeing from the workforce there is a need for a platform that can help organizations who are in the field getting work done. Traditionally, field service refers to industries like utilities, telecommunications and large-scale manufacturing, where complex machinery or specialty equipment used in the field is purchased with long-term service contracts. Field service management software is designed with these types of use cases in mind. Mobile work, in contrast, can be any type of work that takes place outside the office. Home and office services, installations and repairs, trades work, on-site training, and on-site support are all examples of mobile work. Industries that often have mobile workforces include health care, not-for-profit, home repairs and construction, training and consulting, among others.

For these mobile workforce industries managing their mobile workforce is a manual task that involves missed appointments, the wrong mobile employee showing up to complete the job, no visibility into what’s happening in the field, no way to easily collect data and send to back office, thus resulting in frustrated customers and increased operating costs.

Fairhurst states that his team strived to devise a single hub that alleviates the hassles of accessing multiple spreadsheets and devices and effortlessly manages task scheduling.

We take a mobile first approach to help companies with mobile employees intelligently schedule, dispatch, and manage their mobile workforce and integrate with Salesforce or other business systems of record for a holistic overview of their workforce

Skedulo’s mobile workforce management platform empowers mobile workers to optimally manage, schedule and dispatch individual employees for jobs based on relevant skill sets, certifications, and proximity to the job location. Skedulo’s application also facilitates real-time interaction between workers, managers, and their CRM, a feature that was probably hard to imagine a few years ago.

To paint a clearer picture of the benefits of Skedulo’s workforce management solution, the entrepreneurs cite the example of a solution rendered to one of its clients, HealthStrong – a leading Australian healthcare provider. Adoption of the platform helped HealthStrong achieve a string of benefits. The robustness of Skedulo mobile not only helped practitioners deliver the apt home care service at the right time, but also made management of appointments an effortless task. A spike in business intelligence, a drastic reduction of appointment scheduling time, and an overall increase in work efficiency are the additional benefits gained by HealthStrong as a result of the implementation of Skedulo mobile.

The HIPAA compliant Skedulo platform and mobile app also integrates natively with Salesforce CRM and ServiceNow applications to provide the best possible customer service—from the first moment of service to job completion. The seamless real-time integration of field data captured from both the applications effectively eliminates silos and the need for manual data entry. The amalgamation of Skedulo with the Salesforce and ServiceNow applications help in gaining real, valuable insights into field operations and performance to improve managerial & scheduling decisions.

Scores of workers belonging to various sectors such as healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, and traditional field service have reaped the benefits of Skedulo’s solution. The organization has garnered a fund worth millions from a leading venture capital firm that would greatly enable it to further its research and development initiatives. With a note of his firm’s latest milestone Fairhurst concludes, “We value customer feedback and insights, and as a result of it we have recently revamped the interface of our platform which will significantly enhance its user experience.”
